IMPORTANT NOTICE: We have had major computer problems more than once. We lost most of our emails. If you emailed us and have not heard back please resend your email. We apoligize for any inconvienience this may have caused. We will no longer promise a donkey to any one without a deposit. Even without lost emails it is too confusing and too complicated for someone my age to remember who wants which donkey. By the time I hear back from someone I have promised I risk losing my interested party and many times the person I promised first refusal to no longer wants the donkey. If you want me to seriously offer you first refusal on any of our donkeys I am going to require a non-refundable $100 deposit that can be applied to any donkey you purchase from us in the future. I will also post a note on my website under that particular donkeys name who has the right to first refusal so there will be no doubt or confusion just in case the Lord calls me home. At this point I am so confused I can't even remember who is mad at me!
If you see a donkey
you like be sure to send us a deposit to hold it so you won't miss out! I
cannot hold a donkey without a deposit...sorry..but too many broken promises
in the past. Discounts given when purchasing more than one donkey.
Donkeys are much happier when paired up. All of our donkeys come with registration
certificates, a current negative coggins report, a health certificate if sold
out of state, complete health records, a hard cover book including all records
and 8 x 10 color photographs, small left and right photos for registration transfer
or update if needed, a cd with all high resolution photos and videos taken of
your donkey, a 2010 Sweet P Donkey Calendar, and a brand new halter and lead
rope. We do offer significant discounts on package deals or if you have previously
purchased a donkey from us!! All of our donkeys comply with the new Miniature
Donkey Registry rules for 2010 by being microchipped!
We
were blessed this year with our donkeys being featured on the cover
of Sweep 'P' Mini Farm's 2010 Calendar. Click the photo below to
order your calendars for 2010!!! They have many other miniature donkey
items also available including miniature donkey halters that
we highly recommend!

The birth that put a big smile on our faces came the morning of February 24th at 10:45 a.m. Joe and I had been so involved with Bridget and her premature foal, Mr. Big, that it was such a relief to be there with Sierra when she went in to labor and presented us with a gorgeous spotted jennet.
We could immediately tell she was beautiful with her striking blaze face and dark eyeliner on her two big expressive eyes. She was sporting nice big spots around both eyes and her body spot pattern is one that we really like with a blanket type over the top of her body. After she began to dry she displayed a beautiful rose color that we adored in a couple of our previous foals but rarely had seen. It was love at first sight for both of us. Sierra was the same color when she was a foal and later turned dark. Her 2008 jennet foal, Ch Ching, was the same color at birth and she later turned to a dark spot as well just like her mom. We expect PJ to do the same when she is older.
It seems so much happened during her first week that all seems like a big blur. It was very cold that evening after she was born and we had some very cute pajamas that we thought would help keep her warm. We put the peach colored ones on her for warmth and immediately all the Mare Stare Viewers were commenting on how cute she looked wearing her “jammies”…..that first walk across the stall runway was a big hit and she became known as the “Pajama Girl”….easy enough giving her that name as she wore them well. She even got to change in to 3 different colors of “jammies” as she made her fashion statement in her stall for Half Ass Acres.
Her personality is so sweet and gentle and Sierra has been such a wonderful mother. It has been said that when Pajama Girl heard about Mr.Big being born, and his mother not having milk for him, that she called Mr. Big at the hospital and invited him to come over for a drink when he got home. She told him she would share a teat with him. They have been sighted out in the paddock together…hmmmm?????
As always, the miracle of birth blessed us with an adorable spotted jennet.
Yes, we will be offering Pajama Girl, aka PJ, for sale. Call to set up an appointment to meet our “Styling Pajama Girl”….get your picture made with our little donkey fashion model.
We believe PJ will shed off her foal coat to be a dark spot like her mom and her sister, Ch Ching. PJ has super show quality conformation with her very wide wide chest, straight legs, great topline, perfect bite and dark double eyeliner around both eyes. A deposit will hold her and you can make monthly payments at no extra charge until she is weaned.

Miss Moneypenny is a sweetheart and loves attention. She is a more refined and delicate little jenny. She is easy to catch and handle. She has a good bite and is guaranteed to be sound and healthy. She has been microchipped to comply with the new Miniature Donkey Registry rules. We just recently purchased Moneypenny when we bought back a pair of donkeys we had sold to a friend that decided she wanted to raise dogs instead of donkeys and we also took Miss Moneypenny in the deal because she felt she was too nice to just be kept for a pet. We are only reselling her because I promised my husband I would reduce our number of donkeys. Miss Moneypenny is up to date on vaccinations including Eastern/Western Encephalitis, Tetanus, Rhino, and Influenza. Her hooves were last trimmed on 1/13/10 and she was de-wormed with Equimax on 1/02/10. She has a negative coggins dated 2/8/10. A big 'thank you' to Dena Wilson for assisting me in Moneypenny's photo session!

Scout is a dark, heavily spotted jack with a wonderful temperament. He is short backed with a stocky build and a compact head. He has many, many years ahead of him to be a great spot producer for you! Scout has been microchipped to comply with the new Miniature Donkey Registry rules. He is guaranteed to be sound and healthy. Scout is super friendly and easy to catch and handle. We were blessed with a healthy baby born on Easter Sunday. We named
him Pasco as it means 'born on Easter.' Thank you to Asta in Denmark
for naming him! His color appears to be a gray/roan or brown/roan with
an intermediate muzzle and no eye rings. This boy is definately show
quality with his heavy bone and straight legs. He has a tiny head with
a perfect bite. We can put our flat hand horizontally in between his
front legs his chest is so wide. He will be a gorgeous driving donkey
when he matures with his spotlight forehead star. He is up to date
on worming, hooves, and vaccinations including Eastern/Western Encephalitis/Tetanus/Rhino/Influenza
and West Nile and he has a negative coggins report dated 9/01/09. Pasco
has been microchipped to comply with the new Miniature Donkey Registry
rules for 2010 and his registration papers were applied for on 9/28/09.
Pasoc
is now a gelding....he has been castrated and has made a complete recovery. Updated photos will be taken soon!!

Feather
is a miniature dwarf mare measuring 24" who thinks she is
10' tall! We love our little Feather who has the run of the farm.
Update: It was a hard decision and a great sacrifice of our hearts
but in August of 2006 Feather and her best friend, Drizzle, were
donated to:
where they are very much loved and appreciated by the children who
are in their program. We miss Feather and Drizzle but
we are so proud of the work they are now doing.
Update: October 2009!! Feather needs our help! She is having expensive
eye surgery for a ruptured ulcer and now colic surgery too!! Donations
are needed now. Read her story by clicking here: Feather
needs help!

When your
day seems out of balance and so many things go wrong, when people
fight around you and the day drags on so long, when parents act
like children, and in-laws drive you bonkey, go out in your pasture
and wrap your arms around your donkey.
His gentle breath enfolds you and he watches with those eyes. He may
not have a PhD, but he is oh, so wise! His head rests on your shoulder.
You embrace him oh so tight. He puts your world in balance, and makes
it seem all right.
Your tears will soon stop flowing. The tension is now eased. The garbage
has been lifted, and you're quiet and at peace. So when you need the
balance from circumstances in your day, the best therapy that you can
seek is out there eating hay!!
